Friends

ok, i'm saying this, not about my dear friends who always have my back (most likely the ones reading this), but about the friends who are more "fair weather"

What is the deffinition of a friend? in Proverbs 17:17 it says "a friend loveth at all times" so if a friend will always love you, what do you think i should call a certian person who has decided to stop talikng to me because he heard a stupid rumor (i don't care if it was based on fact)?
I think i'll call him an ex-friend, i wish i didn't have to. i valued his friendship most highly, but as with alot of the friendships i've ahd over the years, he's just decided to ditch me. good for me right? i guess it's his loss.(but i still feel like it's a bit of mine)
