Cedar City Shakespear Competition

Well, my drama class went to Cedar city for a shakespear competition, it was loads of fun. My room mates were the best, (Yaz, Annie, and Nicie). Our scene from Richard III took first place in our division, and almost all our duo/trio scenes and monologues placed too. (congratz to Margot, Chance, Maida, and Madeline!)

Well, ther is always one problem when rooming with your best friends... EXAUSTION! we were tired the whole time, but we still produced killer work. We also made fiends with the American Fork Drama department, and it was way fun to have friensd at the competition.

I loved the experience of going down to the competition, if there are people who know how to have fun, it's thespians and techies. We were loving it the whole time.

We went to see Gaslight, and Moonlight and Magnolias at the Randall teatre our first day in. they were so amazing to watch. I love getting to play them over and over again in my mind.

We also had a great blessing of rain. We were supposed to perform on the Adam's Memorial Theatre stage (an outdoor stage), but it was almost all blocked off, and we hadn't practiced our blocking wiht as many obsticles as they'd given us, so without fear, we tried to re-block. we would have done fine, but thanks to the rain we were able to perform on a larger stage with better accoustics. We had prayed for the rain, and many of us had our families praying for rain. It was an answer to our prayers.

I LOVED Cedar City! it was a major blast! I want to go again next year!
